Completed in 1916, the Pine to Palm course is one of Minnesota's finest resort area layouts. The rolling terrain and trees which line each fairway make the Pine to Palm Course (par is 36-35-71) a challenging test of golf. The course record is 59, set in 2013 by Josh Persons.
One of Minnesota's three "Resort Circuit" golf tournaments - the Pine to Palm - is played at Detroit Lakes each August and attracts an excellent field of about 500 golfers. Qualifying rounds are medal play, with match play following in the championship, Senior Division, and numbered flights.
On the Pine to Palm side, a new clubhouse was completed in 1995 and offers golfers and the general public all the conveniences - from breakfast, lunch, fine dining to facilities for reunions and receptions. Locker rooms are also available for the golfer on the lower level.
